An L shaped desk makes for a great layout in the office spaces of many types of employees, from management to clerical. The shape makes for extended work area and storage room with a simple 90 degree turn. For most users it is better than having a credenza behind the desk, as it is easier to access all parts of the work site.

L shaped desks come with many configurations. Some simply have the expanse of extended desk space, usually with file drawers located on the two ends of the layout. Others come with (sometimes optional) pull-out drawers, keyboard and mouse holders etc.

When it comes to computer workstations, the L shaped desk is a real boon to the employee. Even executives have computers on their desks, to include printers, faxes and other gear. An L shaped desk has one feature that is preferable to a U-shaped desk, which surrounds the employee on three sides. That is the simple process of moving in and out of the office space.
